Dr. Mohan is a distinguished neurosurgeon currently serving as the Head of the Department of Neurological Surgery at Garden City Hospital. With an extensive background in neurosurgery and multiple specialized fellowships, he has made significant contributions to the field of neurological surgery, particularly in reconstructive spine surgery, craniofacial surgery, and surgical neuro-oncology.

Dr. Mohan completed his neurosurgery residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Michigan, where he honed his expertise in complex neurological procedures. His commitment to advancing neurosurgical techniques led him to pursue several prestigious fellowships. He trained in reconstructive spine surgery under Dr. Setti S. Rengachari, MD, FACS, at Harper Hospital, Detroit Medical Center, and Wayne State University. Additionally, he specialized in craniofacial reconstructive surgery at Providence Hospital and furthered his expertise in surgical neuro-oncology through a fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital.

Dr. Mohan has also been actively involved in neuro-oncology research and surgical practice. He was a fellow to esteemed neurosurgeons Dr. Mark Rosenblum, MD, FACS, and Dr. Tom Mikkelsen, MD, at the Hermelin Brain Tumor Center, Henry Ford Hospital. His dedication earned him the Art & Mary Ann VanElslander Fellowship in Neurosurgery/Neuro-Oncology at the same institution.

Before specializing in neurosurgery, Dr. Mohan completed his general surgery residency at North Oakland Medical Center in Pontiac, Michigan. His early neurosurgical training also included a general neurosurgery fellowship at Detroit Medical Center, where he worked under the mentorship of Dr. Fernando D. Dias, MD, Ph.D., FACS, and Dr. Robert Johnson, MD, Ph.D., FACS.

Dr. Mohan is certified by the American Board of Clinical Neurosurgery, reflecting his dedication to maintaining the highest standards in neurosurgical care. His expertise and leadership continue to impact the field, benefiting countless patients and advancing the practice of neurological surgery.
