Sunil Manjila, MD

Dr. Sunil Manjila is a neurosurgeon based in Michigan, USA specializing in both brain and spine surgeries. With over two decades of experience, Dr. Manjila has dedicated his career to advancing neurosurgical practices and improving patient outcomes. He completed his medical degree at Trichur Medical College in Kerala, India, and pursued advanced training in neurosurgery at Christian Medical College Hospital in Vellore, India, followed by a clinical fellowship at Fujita Health University, Japan, in 2003. He subsequently did research fellowships in vascular neurosurgery and Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery at Wayne State University School of Medicine and Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio, respectively.
Dr Manjila completed residency in neurosurgery from University Hospitals Case Medical Center, Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland Ohio in 2015 and a postdoctoral fellowship in surgical robotics at Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard University.
His expertise spans the treatment of complex neurological conditions such as brain tumors, skull base and vascular pathologies, traumatic, neoplastic and degenerative spinal conditions and CSF pathway disorders, including hydrocephalus. He also does spinal pumps (pain and spasticity) and spinal cord stimulators for pain management. He also serves on the editorial Board and reviewer for several national and international peer-reviewed neurosurgical research journals, as well as on several national neurosurgery committees.
